Budget-Friendly Design

Do you find it difficult to find the right style and look for the rooms in your home?

You will be glad to know that you are not alone!

Decorating a home can have a lot of challenges, but we want to share some easy ways that you can get great results while staying on a budget!

Start Planning!

When working within a tight budget, you want to do your research and really find out what your desired look is. Once you have that idea in mind, start breaking it down even further into paint colors, accessories, hardware, furniture, etc.

Having a plan in place will prevent wasted time and money from trying out different looks and colors until you get it right. If you know what you want before you start, you will move through your project faster and cheaper!

Re-use Existing Items

Sometimes you actually don’t need to spend as much money as you think you do. Is your bedroom furniture in decent shape? If so, a good paint job may be all you need to make it look new again!

Same goes with your kitchen cabinets. A lot of times, re-facing your existing cabinets can look just as good as brand new ones while saving you a pretty penny!

Do you have hardwood flooring under that ugly carpet? You may be able to re-finish it and not have to stress over all new flooring.

When it comes to working within a budget, sometimes you just need to look around at what you have and get creative! A little bit of paint goes a long way!

Painting is sometimes all you need to make a room look new again. If you don’t quite have the time or energy yet to re-design your room, start with a new coat of paint!

Adding a fun colored accent wall or even throwing in some wall paper can turn a boring room into a fun one.

Another way you can’t go wrong is with a neutral paint like Benjamin Moore’s Decorators White or White Flour by Sherwin Williams. Simply add some color with art, plants and pillows to make your space feel new again!

Make (or hunt) Your Own Artwork

Large statement pieces don’t have to cost you an arm and a leg! Canvas art is fun and easy for even non-artists to make! Check out Pinterest for some great DIY canvas designs.

Thrift stores, Flea Markets and even yard sales can be great places to find some hidden treasures for your home. You may find a perfect piece of art that just needs a new frame!

Little Things Can Make

a Big Difference!

Sometimes you don’t have to do much to make a space POP. Try grabbing some fun throw pillows to dress up your couch or bed, pick out some colorful curtains to brighten up the room, or change the mood by finding a few cool lamps and fixtures.

When it comes to decorating our homes, it can sometimes seem like a never-ending list of things we want to do. Now you can see it doesn’t have to take a lot of time and money to have a great looking home. Just follow these budget friendly tips to spruce your rooms and you will be able to knock out that list in a quick and inexpensive way!
